The Meerkat’s Perspective

Six people meet for the first time on stage. They do not know each other but they recognise each other: they are all weird. The start of their coexistence will give away to the construction of a community.

Plot Sumary

One night, 100 years ago, or in a 100-year timeline… the calmness of the city is torn apart by a group of men-the men of fire, who break into the houses of “not normal” people to dispose them of their lives and move them to a place far from society.

A few lucky ones will manage to run away and hide in the forest. And there, in an opening of the woods, they meet. Deprived of their lives, with no chance of returning, they will only have one option: to gather as a community to survive.

…to change the perspective about our most awkward and hidden self, to discover the unique human being that hides at the other side of normality.

The Meerkat’s Perspective appeals to the way we look at a complex and diverse world. It invites us to recognise the beauty of diversity and multiplicity through an emotive performance that deepens in the humanist tradition of theatre.

JOSÉ ANTONIO FUENTES

Theatre critic elDiario.es

A pack of six actors, with or without peculiarities, gets up on stage, displaying their awkwardness. There are no distinctions, differences or categories among them, since they are all equally important in unfolding a story full of musicality and rhythm, producing an extraordinary, exciting and entertaining game of diversity

Director, pedagogist y actor at Cirque du Soleil.

A part of the history of normality that opens our eyes and allows us to see the amount of filters we all have. Great actors, talented and honest, that speak deeply about a topic somehow unfortunately overlooked. Do not miss it.
